longhairgal- You are probably right that they'll say it's "voluntary" but if somebody didn't comply they would not be viewed in good standing.
There was a talk and watchtower a few months back that said you basically have to be worthy and in decent standing for your donations to be acceptable. Since we are all sinners.....This might be a nice loophole to slide through.
Just don't forget to ask for forgiveness after they collect the forms back to be turned in. LOL
before i stopped attending i noticed that several members left our hall.
i also noticed that when family members gave talks there was an infux of visitors too support their relative.
still i noticed, that our meeting attendance would go way down then all of a sudden our hall would be full of people we'd never seen before.. is this the new thing...the elders sending their families and ms servants to other halls to make it appear there is a lot of new members when the co comes to visit or when certain talks are given?.

they have passed around pieces of paper for each publisher to write.
down how much they are willing to give the society every month for their entire lives!.
They say we have 170 publishers are month end says we receive about $1100 if you do the math thats about $6 per publisher. So it looks like the donations have been trying up for a while. Especially if you look at the few publishers that give $100 or more at one time.
It looks like the Elders have been absorbing the extra costs for some time. So in a sense they've been paying dues already.

i have been thinking of a simple one liner to use when challenged as to why i dont seem to be an "active / good" witness.... "i no longer wish to be considered as 'bloodguilty' thanks" and leave it at that.. if said in a dignified, (not in a smart arse way), then i think this may make people see that my desicion is a sound one based on logic and not emotion..... thoughts?.

i've been visiting here for about a year or so, but didn't really feel compelled to participate other than reading the various posts that interested me.. there's been that uncomfortable feeling of being disloyal to god, the organization, many friends and relatives.. i've been associated since birth.
after 65 + years of service within this organization and actually enjoying that time, it troubled me to find myself wanting to express feelings that were contrary to all that time of "faithfulness".
those years were filled with progressive "privileges and responsibilities" even at a high level, and there was considerable success in our evangelizing activity.
@ stirred not shaken; welcome. Spiritually weak in the society, yet so much stronger in your relationship with Jehovah and Jesus Christ. I don't know how it was for you, but for me, Jehovah was/is answering my prayers to draw closer to him by guiding me to the TRUTH. His truth.

no visible show of this king's sovreignty, no activity by this king to act on his campaign platform.
